About DAEZ

Chartered by women of vision and resilience, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated has, for over 105 years, been a home for Finer Women who have carried the weight of the world with dignity and purpose.

Born in 1920, in the shadow of Jim Crow, we rose at a time when opportunity for Black women was a dream few dared to imagine. We stood through the Great Depression, World War II, and the fight for Civil Rights — lifting our voices for equality when silence would have been safer.

​

We battled for voting rights, marched for justice, and built scholarships when the doors to education were slammed shut. We confronted health crises from sickle cell to HIV/AIDS, and we have stood on the front lines of maternal health, voter protection, and economic empowerment. Through hurricanes, pandemics, and moments of national reckoning, we have never broken under the weight — only grown stronger.

Here in Collier County, the Delta Alpha Epsilon Zeta Chapter carries that legacy forward with purpose and passion. Chartered to meet the needs of our local community, DAEZ leads impactful initiatives such as The Power of S.H.E. — advancing Social, Health, and Economic justice — alongside educational programs, cultural celebrations, youth mentorship, and hands-on service projects. Our Sorors are visible, engaged, and committed to creating lasting change while fostering the bonds of sisterhood that define our organization.
